Job Overview:
As an Entry-Level Human Resources Assistant, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. You will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee records management, and other HR-related tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of HR processes. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within the HR field while gaining exposure to the finance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Support: Assist with posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications. Help screen resumes and follow up with candidates.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing documents, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all compliance paperwork is completed.
- Employee Records: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Update HR databases and files.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist with payroll processing by collecting timecards, verifying attendance, and coordinating with the payroll department as needed.
- Benefits Administration: Help manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Answer employees' questions about benefits and assist with enrollments.
- Training & Development: Assist with organizing employee training sessions and development programs. Track employee progress and provide logistical support for training events.
- Compliance & Reporting: Support HR in ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Assist with preparation of HR reports and documentation for audits.
- General HR Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR department, including managing correspondence, preparing reports, and assisting with employee relations issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 0-1 year of experience in an HR-related role (internships or part-time positions are a plus).
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
